The CJO is extending their early bird pricing for 24 more hours for season tickets! This allows access to all 4 concerts, and reserved seating for our historically sold out Christmas show. $85 per adult, $55 per student.

CJO Student Challenge to perform with us!

, as huge supporters of education and many of our musicians teaching in various schools through the year, we have decided to launch a competition for young aspiring musicians. 2 finalists will be given the opportunity to perform with the CJO at some point this season!

To apply, simply upload 2 videos to YouTube with your name, song name and Calgary Jazz Orchestra Competition 2013 in the title. 2 songs must be recorded of contrasting styles, including improvisation, with backing tracks, solo, or with other musicians. Then email those links to info@calgaryjazzorchestra.com and post on your social media and the CJO's facebook page.

Our Bassist wins Montreal Jazz Festival Award

Kodi Hutchinson and his trio have won the Montreal Jazz Festival Grand Prize! After performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival this year a number of groups are picked to compete. They surpassed over some incredible competition to be awarded the "Grand Prix de Jazz"
